Chatterbox stores the account details and content you provide to operate comments, votes, reports, bookmarks, moderation, and GDPR requests.

Account passwords are stored as secure password hashes. The browser extension sends the signed-in session token only to the Chatterbox service.

You can request an export of your account data or delete your account through the extension. Deleted accounts are anonymised while comments are retained as deleted placeholders to preserve discussion structure.
